Get your pumpkins cleaned... while you grocery shop

Ok, this might be one of the most unique (and helpful) services I've seen in quite a while. At the Safeway in downtown Bellevue, they are offering Pumpkin Cleaning while you shop.

As you pick up your milk, bread, eggs, etc.., some wonderful soul will be scooping the goopy mess out of your pumpkins. And, really, isn't that the worst part of pumpkin carving?

You must purchase pumpkins from the store (as of Wednesday evening they still had a great selection of all sizes) and the cost of the service is a $4 donation, which goes to Breast Cancer research.

Location: Safeway, 300 Bellevue Way, NE

Time: Saturday, 10-25, from noon to 3 p.m.; Sunday, 10/26 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.; and Wednesday, 10-29, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

How can you make pumpkin seeds if you don't clean it yourself? My kids would kill me!
